A beautiful Advent week at the Humboldt-Institut in Constance🎄21. December 2022
Today is the last school day of the year for our students in Constance. We bid you farewell for the Christmas holidays and look forward to welcoming you back on January 1!
The past week was once again Christmassy. On Monday, our students took a closer look at the town hall in Constance together with our educator. Afterwards, they went to the Christmas market for a cozy end to the day. At this time of the year, Constance and Lake Constance present themselves in a very special way.
On Tuesday we baked cookies together. All students participated and there was a lot of snacking while baking. Of course, the homemade cookies tasted fantastic while listening to cozy Christmas music.
After an excursion to the Christmas decorated Meersburg on Wednesday, the students showed their creative side and made Advent stars in all possible colors and sizes after class on Thursday, which were then used to decorate the dining room.
When the weather outside is not as sunny as it usually is at Lake Constance, sports activities are still a must. After cookies, mulled wine and the good food at the Humboldt-Institut, some sport is always welcome. This time we went indoor bouldering and also here everybody had a lot of fun.
Then on the weekend we went to the wintery cold St. Gallen in Switzerland. Our student Ruben showed his classmates numerous sights in the city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its baroque cathedral and the famous Abbey Library.
Our students rounded off the week once again with a delicious mulled wine at the Christmas market. Actually, a photo challenge was planned, but the mood among each other was so good that the group wanted to stay together the whole time to enjoy the last days of the year together.
