German Courses in Oberallgäu + Outdoor
ages 13-17 · A1-B2
Learn German and explore the Alps!
Mountains so close you can almost touch them: located in the middle of the Allgäu region – a popular holiday destination – our new course location is ideal for day trips to the peaks of the Allgäu Alps, to Lake Constance and to the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle. The neighboring countries of Austria and Switzerland are a short trip from the school, as is the Munich metropolitan area.
The Oberallgäu course center offers a natural setting with fantastic views as well as great opportunities for outdoor activities. For example, rafting and water ski are included in the varied leisure program!
The course location Oberallgäu can be reached easily and safely from Munich Airport and Memmingen Airport with the Humboldt transfer service.
German + Outdoor activities in the Bavarian Alps
3 weeks, 2 summits, 1 team and go! This is the motto of our summer course German + outdoor in the Oberallgäu.
In the mornings, students learn in different classes according to their level of German. In the afternoons, we offer a leisure program with a variety of activities on the water and in the mountains.
The program is completed by excursions to Munich and the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle.
Our students are housed in the same building where the classes are held. The residence offers modern twin rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
We carefully choose the students who will share a room with each other. We take care to match roommates who have a comparable German language level and are of similar age, yet speak different native languages. This way we encourage them to speak and practice German with each other outside of the classroom. Boys and girls are housed separately.
Our students receive three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Laundry service is offered to all students free of charge once a week for their personal laundry. Bed linen and towels will be provided and changed regularly.
German summer courses & fees
At the course location Oberallgäu + Outdoor, the Humboldt-Institut offers German courses for teenagers during the summer. Every week from Monday to Friday, 30 lessons are taught in small classes. The lessons and the learning content are specially adapted to the age group of teenagers. Through varied forms of learning and a high proportion of speaking, our teachers motivate all students to actively participate in the lessons.
The summer courses in Oberallgäu are offered as a complete package including accommodation, full board, daily leisure activities and excursions.
What is included?
All courses include all lessons, course materials, housing accommodations, full board, 24-hour supervision, daily activity program, weekly excursions (including entrance fees), laundry service and a certificate.
What is my level of German? With our online placement test, you can determine your German level before the course. However, the online test does not replace the on-site placement test.
