Zertifikat Deutsch und Zertifikat Deutsch Plus

Another recognized German language certificate is the "Zertifikat Deutsch" (ZD), officially incorporated into the system of European language certificates (TELC).

The ZD enables people who wish to take an exam at the DIHK (German chamber of commerce), e.g., as a foreign language correspondent or foreign language secretary, to fulfill their language requirements. It also serves as a language certificate for people who want to apply for German citizenship. In some countries, e.g. Poland, students who have ZD are exempt from taking final exams in German at their high school.

The written part of the ZD exam focuses on reading comprehension, language elements (grammar, lexical items), listening comprehension and written expression. There is also a short oral exam.

If students fail the ZD exam, they can repeat the test as often as they like.

Requirements
Students who have taken about 500-600 class hours can register for the exam. This number of class hours is equivalent to having passed Level B1 according to the competence levels of the council of Europe. We will, of course, prepare our students for the exam in our language courses.
