Reimlingen is a tiny village just 4 kilometers south of the medieval town of Noerdlingen. Castles, palaces and fortresses, natural beauty and a rich testimony of culture and traditions, combined with a healthy climate: welcome to the beautiful “Noerdlinger Ries”!
The region is known for its breathtaking land formations shaped more than 15 million years ago by cataclysmic forces. It represents both a unique landscape in Europe and a fascinating recreation area. It is the ideal place for our international students to learn about our country, our people, and our language!
A beautiful countryside is host to our school in the attractive St. Albert house in the small village of Reimlingen. The extremely well-maintained facility is situated in a lovely park on the edge of town and offers marvelous views over the amazing landscape of the “Noerdlinger Ries.” The school combines the grand look of a castle-like building with the modern amenities of an up-to-date seminar house and offers ideal conditions for our students to learn German and enjoy their free time in the school’s own sports and leisure facilities.
Our students are guests of the St. Albert house, a very refined place situated in a wonderful huge park and surrounded by the most pristine nature. All the rooms are of very high quality, comfortable and cozy, and have their own bathroom and shower.
Students will be divided by gender (on different floors or wings). Usually 2 to 4 juniors share a room, and we will try to match roommates of approximately the same age and a similar German knowledge, but with different native languages, so that they will have to practice their German with each other.
We provide full board for our students, which includes three main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as two snacks a day.
Laundry service is offered free of charge once a week.
Our language center in Reimlingen is ideal for children since it is situated in a beautiful park far away from busy streets. A large playground and the park itself give children the opportunity to run and play as much as they like. The well-marked hiking trails and biking routes of the Noerdlinger Ries provide our students with great opportunities to explore nature. An outdoor pool is nearby (3 km), and if the weather doesn’t play along, there is an indoor pool not too far away (8 km).
The school also offers many other facilities which ensure that our course participants will enjoy their leisure time: a party room, a library, a TV room, an Internet room, ping-pong, a place for campfires and a vast games collection. There are also excellent sports installations, like a huge playfield and a wonderful gymnasium where our children can play soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis and table tennis both indoors and outdoors.
Horseback riding is also possible in Reimlingen but not included in our course fees.
Our counselors will be sure to keep our young guests entertained and happy after class, and will offer them an interesting and varied program of activities for the afternoons, evenings and weekends, while guaranteeing thorough and reliable round-the-clock supervision.
* not included in the course fee
Every Saturday, our counselors organize and accompany full-day excursions. These events and the entrance fees are included in the course fee. Our excursions will take us, for example, to:
Franconia’s largest city with a population of 500,000 people presents an impressive 1,000 year old castle and offers plenty of musuems to different topics
The world-famous Bavarian capital on the Isar river, with its amazing array of museums, sights and shopping opportunities
The so-called “cradle of the automobile”, where the Mercedes-Benz was invented and where Porsche and Maybach now have plants as well
Those picturesque medieval towns are other possible destinations for a perfect full-day excursion
Every Wednesday afternoon, we also offer our students shorter half-day excursions to regional sights, or to nearby smaller towns like Noerdlingen.
Wherever we take our students, we guarantee reliable supervision during the trip.
We will gladly pick up our students from the closest railway station free of charge. The name of that station is Noerdlingen.
If students wish to be picked up from the airport, we can arrange an airport transfer service for them for a fee. The only airport from and to which transfers can be arranged is Munich. Fees will be doubled for transfers on other days than the official days of arrival and departure.
