Year-round highly intensive courses in the exclusive surrounding of a baroque castle
|
 | Schloss Freudental is a lovingly restored baroque castle, dating from 1699. Within this beautiful setting, the Humboldt-Institut offers a unique and exclusive course center for international executives and the top management of economic, political, scientific or cultural areas. Freudental is situated just above the picturesque Lake Constance, providing the small group of students with numerous opportunities in their free time. All facilities of Schloss Freudental are of superior quality, matching the specific needs and standards of a demanding clientele.

|
 | Freudental is a center for crash courses in mini groups (2-4 students) and for highly intensive individual courses. These courses have been established especially for companies and institutions, which require their employees to receive a thorough and most intensive training in the German language.
The emphasis of the mini group courses is Business German.
To ensure effective studies, the pace at which material is covered in Freudental is adapted according to the individual's ability to learn. The courses for the mini groups with 40 lessons per week start every other week, and students are assigned to course levels according to the results of a placement test, which is given on the first day.
One-to-one courses are tailored to suit the participant's individual needs, e. g. professional priorities and technical requirements while matching the students' existing vocabulary with the correct grammatical structure.
Participants may start their one-to-one courses on any week of the year. Courses are made up of 40 lessons per week; dates may be fixed individually between the student and the Humboldt-Institut.
The courses serve levels A1 - C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference as well as the Humboldt-Proficiency course.

 | During the course our guests are accommodated exclusively in the castle or in the neighbouring studio. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom and shower, as well as with a telephone. All participants enjoy full board with the meals being served in the castle's dining room. The food, prepared by our own professional chef, is of outstanding quality and will satisfy the most delicate palates. The bar, situated in the castle's vaults, is traditionally a popular place for the participants to relax together in the evening hours.
|
|
 | Apart from running our German courses, we also consider it our responsibility to offer our students a range of selected after-class activities so that they can enjoy the wide variety of opportunities the region has to offer, both with regard to culture and sports. Many trails offer the possibility to go for a stroll or to explore this beautiful region by bike (we provide our students with bikes free of charge). Our program includes plays and concerts as well as visits of cosy wine bars, the so-called "flower island" of Mainau or a tour of Constance's historic old part of town. The castle itself provides its own sauna and bar.
For those among our students who love sports, there are also many activities to choose from. Golf, horseback riding, sailing, fishing, tennis, etc. are possible here. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any special leisure time interests.
