Intensive courses from July to August in a 1000-year-old German town
|
 | Located at the edge of the "Schwäbische Alb" mountain region, close to the meeting point of two nice little rivers, lies Kirchheim unter Teck, a picturesque town in an idyllic surrounding. The historic old part of town offers its visitors a splendid and uniform image of 17th century architecture. Romantic half-timbered houses, the impressive walls of the former town fortifications, and a maze of narrow lanes create an unparalleled atmosphere for our language courses. Among the most impressive buildings are the castle, church and the ornate town hall with its arcades and a clock that indicates the lunar phases. Our school lies within walking distance of this extraordinary old part of town so that our students can easily enjoy this outstanding atmopshere.
Kirchheim/Teck, however, offers a lot more than its 1000 years of history and tradition. This town, with its more than 35,000 inhabitants, is the bustling center of this region and offers numerous leisure activities, e.g., plays, concerts, sports events, exhibitions and enchanting town festivals. Many visitors particularly like the relaxed, almost family-like atmosphere they encounter in the many garden restaurants, pubs and cafés.
People in Kirchheim/Teck know how to combine an idyllic surrounding and a relaxed lifestyle with modern industries and innovative technologies. Originally, companies built their production sites in this area due to the town's excellent infrastructure and water power resources. Today, airbag production and the manufacturing of gliders ensure that the town not only has a rich history but also a bright future to look forward to.
Kirchheim/Teck - a fascinating town that combines tradition, lifestyle and progress!

 | The courses at Kirchheim unter Teck are three weeks intensive courses with 30 lessons per week.
During these courses, young students can improve their knowledge of German in small groups of an average of no more than ten students. Beginners can acquire basic knowledge of the German language. After a placement test each student attends a class according to his or her level. Through contact with German everyday life, through assignments and conversations the students are encouraged to put into practice what they have learned.
These courses serve levels A1 - C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

 | Students stay in modern two- and three-bed rooms at the "Christian Youth Village Boarding School", within walking distance of the city center. All rooms have private bathrooms and showers.
Students are served three main meals and two snacks a day.

|
 | Our social coordinators organize a sports and activities program, including bicycle tours in the surrounding area, canoeing excursions, swimming in the public pool, basketball, volleyball, beachball and handball. Horseback-riding, golf and tennis are possible at an extra charge.
Kirchheim/Teck is the ideal starting point for many trips that lead our students to fascinating sights of the region. Our full-day excursions include visits to some of Germany's most interesting cities, e.g., Stuttgart, Munich, Heidelberg, Tübingen, and Freiburg. We will also visit other attractions that might be less known but that are certainly not less impressive, such as Liechtenstein Castle, the idyllic town of Bad Urach, the prehistoric Hauff Museum and one of the region's numerous stalactite caverns.
