Summer courses in August for university students in Germany\'s capital

The place
Since the reunification of Germany, the new and old capital of Germany has been restored to outshine even its former splendor, no small achievement considering that until the outbreak of World War II the city's splendor was world famous and unsurpassed in Europe. Berlin with its famous landmarks is a cosmopolitan city with charm and international flair. The people of Berlin have their heart in the right place and are not afraid to speak their mind ("Berlin big-mouth").

Especially for young people, Berlin offers a wide-ranging program of music events, theater, movie theaters, shopping and sports, bars, beer gardens and discos.

Course description
The summer courses with 25 class hours per week in small classes of 5 - 10 students are oriented towards university students and accordingly geared to academic interests. Key areas, depending on the level of language skills, will also be German history, politics and culture. At the same time, however, grammar will by no means be neglected in the practical-oriented and communicative classes.

Instruction takes place in the rooms of the university of applied science in the heart of the city.

The courses serve levels A1 - C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Accommodation
The participants live in single rooms in student dorms. In this way they also have the opportunity to get to know German students and experience everyday student life with them in Berlin. Cooking facilities are available in all the dormitories.

Free-time activities
Berlin offers a wide range of leisure options. Take a stroll down the Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin's busiest shopping streets or go on an outing to Wannsee and Grunewald, oases of tranquillity ideal for those quiet afternoons in the sun. Sightseeing excursions include the following: A boat trip on the river Spree and the Havel lakes, visits to famous sights, for instance the German Reichstag (parliament building) or a trip to the Baltic Sea. We are also happy to help participants organize their own activities. The leisure program, excluding the admission charges, is included in the course fees, as is a monthly travel card for Berlin public transport (buses, trams and underground trains).
