Junior intensive courses in July just outside the capital of Berlin
 | Lehnin, a typical Brandenburg town outside of Berlin, is nestled around a 825-year-old monastery. It is the oldest monastery in the Brandenburg March and was founded by Margrave Otto I. Today, this well-maintained area is dominated by the renovated monastery church and other Gothic buildings. A number of small shops add to the lively image of the town.

 | At Berlin-Lehnin, we offer junior intensive courses, lasting three weeks, with 25 lessons per week.
During these courses, our young students can improve their knowledge of German in small groups of not more than 10 students on average. Beginners can acquire basic knowledge of the German language. After a placement test, each student attends a class according to his or her level. Through contact with German everyday life, through assignments and conversations, our students are encouraged to put into practice what they have learned.
These courses serve levels A1 - B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

 | Students are housed in the guest house of the Lehnin Institute for Fine Arts and Culture, situated on the Lehnin Klostersee lake, where studios and workshops have been built on the premises of an old sawmill. The 2-, 3- and 4 bed rooms are each equipped with a shower and toilet facilities, and most offer a splendid view of the forests and the lake. Students receive three main meals a day plus one snack.
 | The Lehnin Institute offers a program of creative, artistic and technical projects including workshops in sculpting, metal casting, painting and drawing. Occasionally the Institute presents movies and offers informal evenings around the campfire. Full-day excursions are conducted to Potsdam, and of course to Berlin, the German capital.
Students are invited to take sailing and rowing courses on the lake. After ten lessons and a big final outing, students will know how to get around safely on the water. Boats are docked right next to school property. The adjacent forests are perfect for mountain biking and hiking, and crystal-clear lakes invite passersby to swim and linger. The Institute itself has its own facilities where students can play table tennis, volleyball and soccer. Sailing and rowing courses are not included in the course fees.
